Rice is looking for an organized and motivated Admin Intern to support the daily operations of our studio. This role helps ensure the studio runs smoothly, from logistics to team coordination, while contributing to a positive and creative workplace.
Job Description
As an Admin Intern at Rice, you’ll assist with everyday tasks by keeping track of office supplies, support purchasing, processing payment and join in planning team activities and events.
This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, service-minded, and eager to learn. You’ll gain hands-on experience in administration and operations, working closely with different teams in a dynamic, creative environment with the potential conversion to full-time Studio Assistant.
Responsibilities
Participate in daily studio checks using provided checklists, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Assist with handling mail, deliveries, and managing office assets.
Monitor and report inventory of office supplies (stationery, snacks, beverages) and support purchasing tasks under the guidance of the Studio Manager and Finance team.
Help with meeting room setup, scheduling, and preparation for client meetings.
Coordinate with outside vendors and partners to support office facility services (cleaning, maintenance, supply delivery, and IT-related needs).
Assist in improving and maintaining the studio’s organizational system.
Support the Studio Manager in motivating and engaging team members in organizational activities.
Assist Partners and Directors with research and coordination for studio improvements.
Help plan and execute internal team activities, such as office gatherings and celebrations.
Provide general administrative support, including paperwork and payment processing, and perform other tasks as assigned by the Studio Manager or management team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
— Final-year student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, General Affairs, or related fields.
— Service-minded, with an interest in organization, coordination, and logistics; attention to detail.
— Good communication and teamwork skills; English required (all skills).
— Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace; tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools.
— A proactive mindset: organized, resourceful, reliable, and eager to learn.
— Open-minded and culturally engaged, with the ability to work across diverse teams and contexts.
Desired:
— Experience in student clubs, event organization, or administrative support.
— Familiarity with handling office supplies, logistics, or vendor coordination.
— Basic knowledge of budgeting, purchasing, or payment processes.
— Flexible and adaptable, with an interest in creative industries, branding, or agency environments.
